Holiday Mixers for Every Latinista

Looking to spice up a holiday gathering? Try these cocktail recipes from Dewar’s Scotch Whisky!

WIT AND WHISKY

  • 2 oz DEWAR’S 12 Scotch
  • 1 oz aqua fava (garbanzo bean water)
  • 1 oz coconut milk
  • 0.5 coconut cream
  • 0.5 oz Benedictine
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

METHOD
Step 1:  Add all ingredients to a mixing tin over ice
Step 2:  Shake and strain
Step 3:  Pour into a wine glass
Step 4:  Garnish with cinnamon

SWEATER WEATHER

  • 2 oz DEWAR’S 12 Scotch
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • 0.5 oz peach liqueur
  • Pinch of Mint

METHOD
Step 1:  Add all ingredients to a mixing tin over ice
Step 2:  Shake and strain
Step 3:  Pour over ice in a double old-fashioned glass
Step 4:  Garnish with a mint sprig

DECK THE HALLS

  • 1.5 oz DEWAR’S 12 Scotch
  • 1 oz MARTINI Fiero
  • 1 oz red wine*

METHOD
Step 1:  Add all ingredients to a mixing tin over ice
Step 2:  Shake and strain
Step 3:   Pour into a highball or wine glass over crushed ice
Step 4:  Garnish with fruit and herbs of your choice
*Use any red wine you have on hand; this is a great way to finish off a bottle from the night before

PERTH PEAR

SINGLE                                                  BATCH {serves 12}

  • 2 oz DEWAR’S 15 Scotch                         750 ml DEWAR’S 15 Scotch
  • 0.5 oz pear syrup                                     6 oz pear syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters                    20-25 dashes Angostura bitters

METHOD
Step 1:  In a mixing glass add all ingredients over ice
Step 2:  Stir until the ice dilutes (about 20 seconds)
Step 3:  Strain over cubed ice or a large cube
Step 4:  Garnish with a pear slice*
*Dehydrate your pear slices for a wintery mood

DOUBLE OLD FASHIONED

SINGLE                                                       BATCH {Serves 12}

  • 2.5 oz DEWAR’S 15 Scotch                     750 ml DEWAR’S 15 Scotch
  • 0.3 oz Orgeat syrup                            4 oz Orgeat syrup
  • 2 dashes Chocolate bitters                         30 dashes Chocolate bitters

METHOD
Step 1:  In a mixing glass add all ingredients over ice
Step 2:  Stir until the ice dilutes (about 20 seconds)
Step 3:  Strain over cubed ice or a large cube
Step 4:  Garnish with lemon and orange
