I’m going to take a deep breath and confess: I’m not the most organized person, but I love physically writing notes down and making to-do lists. I’ve always been a doodler and a scrapbooker and I recently listened to an entire podcast on the importance of using a physical (as in, not on your phone or tablet) organizer for not just your schedule—but your mental health as well.
Since I also love anything whimsy and fun, that can keep me–a mom of two and a freelance writer—accountable and organized, I couldn’t help but smile when I came across Pretty Girl Goals, a small company that sells personalized planners spearheaded by mom and entrepreneur Bievienea Harry.
These planners—available in hard and softcover, are colorful, wonderfully illustrated, and like none I’ve ever seen before. For example, they include content such as a monthly expenses checklist, a money and spending “challenge” to help keep your finances in order, and more.
Here’s the story…
“Pretty Girl Goals was founded in 2019; my message to career women is that ‘Growth and comfort do not coexist,’” explains Harry. “That’s a quote by Ginni Rometty. Being in your comfort zone means you are not growing. For you to grow, you must live outside your comfort zone.”
“Our mission,” she adds, “is to express the aspirations of a hardworking and focused woman while creating invaluable products to help them reach their financial goals.”
According to Harry: “Every woman deserves a chance to learn, grow, and become whatever they want to be. We believe that diligence and dedication are needed to stay productive and achieve goals. Our brand is passionate about helping as many women as possible to reach their full potential in life.”
The pretty planners
“Our planners are made for women in the millennial generation because we understand the peculiar challenges women face in our modern world today,” says Harry. “Thus, we have come up with relevant solutions to address such problems.”
So, why launch a planner business on the side?
“When you’re organized and planned well, you’re in a position to make better decisions. Organizing and planning are two important functions of any job. The better organized you are, the more efficient and successful you will be. “
Harry currently works with two different illustrators for her planners. “They are amazing!”
Bievienea’s bio
“I’m a Financial Educator, Realtor, and mother of one,” she explains. “I completed my real estate program with The Real Estate Business School in Austin, Texas and am passionate about empowering women and encouraging them to dream big while exploring and embracing their true potential.”
When not busy working, Harry loves spending time with her daughter, family, friends, and giving back to the community.
Pretty Girl Goals planners are available on Walmart’s website; you can also find them online at www.prettygg.com.
