Be Your Own Stylist with These Easy Steps

Be Your Own Stylist with These Easy Steps

Trends come and go and a veces we want to incorporate them into our lives. Ideas are everywhere from magazines, commercials, video’s and more on what to buy but not many outlets tell you how to decide for yourself what would look best on you. To save some hard-earned cash and have you looking like your best “you” instead of a copy of someone else’s ideas, here are some easy steps to take before you reach for your next trendy piece.
Be sure you’re all set with classic items porque estilo es por siempre. Fashion is fun and it’s great to experiment, but you want to be sure you’re covered in the basics so you can add those random trendy pieces. Staple pieces like a great fitting pair of jeans, black dress and/or skirt, slacks, blazer and different color plain tee’s.

Next, be sincera with who you are. If you try to dress like Jennifer Lopez when your personality is really more like Rachel Weiss then you’re not going to feel comoda in the outfits you put together. Just because it might look good on someone else, doesn’t mean it will make you feel good wearing it. Be true to who you are.

Get acquainted with your body. We’re finally living in a world striving for self-acceptance and a movement of authentic beauty. Loving, accepting and knowing yourself, just as you are, will help you keep it real with yourself. When you’re purchasing clothes, buy styles that accentuate your favorite features. If you’re all about your legs, try out some mini skirts or shoes that will show them off. Do your arms make you feel poderosa? Find shirts that let the world see how you feel about them. Get inspired! I’m a Pinterest-aholic and I’m not even sorry. Create a board just for brainstorming ideas of what you might want to try. Using this method, you can try before you buy and you’re sure to find just what you need. Get a sense of what colors look good on you by draping items over your shoulders. Don’t put it on. Enfocate en el color y como te hace sentir. If it’s not triggering fabulosa, then don’t bother trying to make it work. Move on to another piece in a different color or different shade hasta que encuentre el color que es. Then you can start to put outfits together!

Don’t be afraid to take risks and have fun! Fashion is about expressing yourself. Once you’ve found what makes you feel unstoppable, you will have the confidence to step outside your comfort zone. A comprar se a dicho!
