I’m not biased or anything because I’m Puerto Rican—OK, fine, I’m biased–but everyone just loves Puerto Rico – especially designer Christian Cowan. He recently teamed up with ‘Discover Puerto Rico’ and launched a Fall 2022 Ready-to-Wear collection during fashion week; revealing his exclusive Christian Cowan x Puerto Rico Sunshine couture dress.
But that’s not all. Pantone—globally recognized as a leading source of color expertise–launched a shade called Puerto Rico Sunshine, and to further showcase his love for PR, Cowan created a one-of-a-kind PR LOVES ME Muscle Tee. Available in sizes XS to Large, the design is inspired by Christian Cowan’s travels to the island and highlights Pantone’s vibrant red-orange sunshine hue with shimmery sequins.
Fun fact: The color “Puerto Rico Sunshine” was brought to life using the actual coordinates of the Puerto Rico sun by physicist Dr. Hector J. Jimenez of the University of Puerto Rico’s Atmospheric Sciences Department — and then developed by the Pantone Color Institute. The shade “Puerto Rico Sunshine” showcases the distinctive sunlight of Puerto Rico — an exuberant and exotic vibrant red-orange hue associated with a warmth that radiates excitement and enthusiasm. (And yes, it’s an official paint color if a room in your house needs a little Puerto Rican love!)
Cowan told Latinista he loves Old San Juan, for its colorful houses and lively atmosphere and Arecibo in particular for its amazing views and inspiring sunsets, specifically from Cueva del Indio.
