New York Fashion Week: Rossi Tuxedo F/W 2020 by Paola Rossi

It’s always exciting to see what new designers are bringing into the fashion fold. For me its especially refreshing when it comes from a Latina. Paola Rossi transitioned into the fashion industry after having an already successful career in architecture in her native Argentina. The Winter/Autumn 20/21 collection “Amazonas” for Rossi Tuxedo is inspired by Amazonian women and the strength and equality they have to their fellow man. Continuing with the theme of powerful women, looks in the collection are named after notable women in music, acting, politics, dancing and of course architecture.

Although these were not only impeccably tailored suits, this was fashion that made the models look like their own empowered superhero. Complete with luscious capes and sharp edged seams. It was clear in this collection that Paola Rossi draws strong inferences from her architectural background. Jewelry by Cut+Clarity accented each tuxedo with traditional yet modern and edgy pieces. While the hand made metallic leather boots worn by the models were also designed by Rossi. Hats that topped off certain looks were created by Halo Mimi, hair was done by Jason Linkow and makeup was by Paola Orlando and The New York Makeup Academy.

We here at Latinista Magazine can’t wait to see what else Paola Rossi has up her tailored sleeve in future collections.
