New York Fashion Week Lights up with Times Square Fashion Week

NYC Came Alive with Times Square Fashion Week’s Annual Show in conjunction with The Fashion Week Experience and Fashion Against Violence!

Jean Shafiroff, NYC Socialite and Philanthropist,  Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine, Tom Harris, and Assemblywoman Rebecca Seawright, welcomed guests to the Annual Times Square Fashion Week Show 2022!

NEW YORK, September 12, 2022  — On Saturday, September 10th, Times Square Fashion Week returned for its fourth year full of indie & couture designers, celebrating diversity on the runway right on Duffy Square.  

This year, Times Square Fashion Week partnered with The Fashion Week Experience which sponsors designers nationwide and in the Bronx to empower young people to be designers.. 

Times Square Fashion Week 2022 kicked off the event with CEO & Founder, Dee Rivera, welcoming everyone to the event. Mistress of Ceremony, Jean Shafiroff; James Corbett, Founder of The Fashion Week Experience; Vanessa Coppes CEO/Editor-in-Chief of Bella Magazine; and NYS Assembly Member Rebecca Seawright, honored and presented I Love ❤️New York awards to several impactful figures. Mark Levine, Manhattan Borough President, was presented with the “Leadership Award”. Tom Harris, of The Times Square Alliance, was presented with the award for “Community Leadership”. Designer CJackson was presented with the “Designer of the Year ” Award, and Designer Mohikas was presented with the “Rising Star” Award. 

Assemblywoman Rebecca Seawright honored Dee Rivera with a New York State Proclamation for Times Square Fashion Week and for contributing to Fashion and diversity in NYC.

As soon as the Full Frontal Fashion Show began, guests and VIPS experienced collections of local designers and couture including Gloria Lee, Diana Mahrach Couture, Julissa Designs, and MetaBurnett. 

Gloria Lee’s collection was bright, colorful and playful. She had a special guest modeling one of her designs: Activist and Influencer, Janira Obregon.

Julissa Designs’ collections are inspired by her wish to spread the message of God through her designs. 

MetaBurnett, created by CEO and Creative Director, Emily Burnett, brought experiential fashion to the runway, merging the Metaverse and Fashion.

Diana Mahrach Couture showed off her luxurious gowns and dresses adorned with sequins and flowers.
