Chef Saul is the embodiment of the American dream. Saul was working as executive chef with some of the biggest chefs including his mentor, Jodi Williams, Chef Josh Capon, Amanda Freitag, and Anne Burrell.

With a passion for authentic Mexican recipes, Chef Montiel has created an exciting, contemporaneous Mexican cuisine at Cantina Rooftop, weaving in Mexican street food recipes and classic “fonda” dishes. Chef Saul’s recipes have been featured on Good Morning America, Food & Wine, NowThis News, People en Espanol, The Wendy Williams Show, and Telemundo. 

One of his best-known recipes is the “Big Ass Taco.” A huge taco loaded with chicken or steak, lettuce, pickled onions, avocado, and much more. Only the brave and slightly insane are hungry enough to take on this giant taco.
