Places are opening up now including hair salons. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still do some hair care at home. Whether you’re doing a hair mask or applying directly, these ingredients can have amazing benefits for your hair and can be found right in your kitchen!

Olive Oil – Can be used as a conditioner. The natural chemicals and acids soften and moisturize the hair. Mostly beneficial for dry, thick hair, or bleached and permed hair. Can soften split ends or burnt hair.  

Green Tea – Has anti-inflammatory properties that can repair the scalp and reverse hair loss. Removes bacteria that lead to hair loss. Contains antioxidants and polyphenols that strengthen hair roots and reduce shedding. 

Onions – Using onion juice in hair remedies can improve hair growth and enhance a healthy appearance. It may reduce grey hairs due to an antioxidant compound called catalase that reduces hydrogen peroxide at the hair roots, which causes grey hair. Moisturizes and revitalizes dry, brittle hair. 

Egg Whites – A good source of protein for hair. Egg whites contain lutein which naturally improves skin and luster. Perfect for dry hair. Can be used to strengthen and repair damaged hair and add moisture. Can get rid of excess oils and dandruff. May also reverse hair loss.

Honey – when used directly or in a hair mask, honey can reduce hair breakage, repair scalp, bring back shine, reduce frizz, condition, and smooth hair. May also strengthen hair follicles with its properties for increasing cell growth.
